The $59.9-million listing of Greg Norman’s beachfront estate isn’t the only news for prominent houses tied to golf this week in Florida.

After three years on the market, Shaquille O’Neal’s home at Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere has a sale pending after listing a most-recent asking price of $16.5 million, according to numerous reports, including in the Orlando Sentinel. Information on the agreed sale price and buyer were not available.

Isleworth features an 18-hole course designed by Arnold Palmer and has been home to many professional golfers including Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson, Mark O’Meara and Paula Creamer. The course at Isleworth, which meanders among several lakes of the Butler Chain near Orlando, is tied for No. 100 on Golfweek’s Best 2021 ranking of residential golf courses in the United States.

Shaq’s sprawling, blue-roofed estate on the highly desirable Lake Butler features more than 31,000 feet of indoor space including the main home, a 6,000-square-foot indoor basketball course, a 17-car-plus showcase garage, a 15-foot-deep pool with a rock waterfall, a cigar bar and 12 bedrooms. Its 700 feet of prime lakefront includes a large dock that for years has featured a Superman statue. The Superman theme carries into various parts of the house.

Records on Realtor.com show the NBA Hall of Famer bought the house in 1993 for $3.95 million after being drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1992. Shaq originally listed the house for sale for $28 million in 2018, and the asking price dropped multiple time since. Real estate agent Tiffany Pantozzi earned the pending sale.
