For the second week in a row, Jordan Spieth took the 54-hole lead into the final round on the PGA Tour, but like a week ago at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Spieth stalled on Sunday while others made their move.
This time, it was Daniel Berger who passed him down the stretch at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Berger eagled the 18th hole for his fourth eagle of the week and second of the day to clinch his fourth PGA Tour victory.
On the CBS call, Jim Nantz called his final stroke the “Gary Woodland putt” which clinched the 2019 U.S. Open.
Berger also eagled the second hole, which jump-started his round. He finished at 18 under, two clear of the field.

For much of Sunday, Berger battled Nate Lashley, who had five birdies over the first 11 holes. But on the 16th hole, disaster struck as Lashley took a triple-bogey seven. He lipped out the bogey putt and tossed his putter in the air in frustration. After finally getting his ball in the hole, he slammed his putter on the green.
Maverick McNealy tapped in for a birdie on 18 to briefly tie for the lead at 16 under. Had he not been penalized a stroke on Saturday for causing his ball to move in the rough on the fifth hole, he would’ve been the outright leader at 17 under.
But moments later, Berger drained his long eagle putt on the final hole for a final-round 65. He now has won four times on the PGA Tour. He won the St. Jude Classic back-to-back in 2016 and 2017 and then won the Tour’s first event back after the 91-day COVID pandemic break at the Charles Schwab Challenge in 2020.
