The Prestige, one of the premier men’s college golf tournaments every year, was contested once again on the Greg Norman Course at PGA West in 2021.
It concluded on Wednesday with two teams—Arizona and North Carolina—tied atop the leaderboard. And that’s how it ended, as darkness set in at La Quinta, California, allowing no more daylight for a playoff.
The field was packed with 24 teams, the most ever. It was also one of the strongest fields in tournament history, with five of the top nine teams in the most recent Golfweek/Sagarin team rankings participating: No. 2 San Diego State, No. 4 Arizona, No. 6 Arizona State, No. 8 Pepperdine and No. 9 SMU.
