SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open will once again be on Super Bowl Sunday. Tournament organizers try to make sure the final round is complete with enough time for a bathroom break and fridge run before the National Anthem at the Big Game.

So who’s going to win between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs?

The Bucs are the first NFL team to play the Super Bowl in its own stadium but many are picking Tampa Bay for a different reason: Quarterback Tom Brady.

Several PGA Tour players were asked to offer up their predictions this week at TPC Scottsdale.

Steve Stricker

“You know, deep down I’m a Bears fan, but when the Bears are out of it, I root for the (Packers). It was sad to see them lose. But now I’m kind of on the Brady bandwagon, I guess. I think it would be an upset if Tampa bay beats them. Patrick Mahomes is a heck of a player and they’ve got a great team, but I’m going to root for Tampa Bay, I think. It would be kind of a cool story if they pulled it off.”

Justin Thomas

“I’ve gotten to know Tom Brady pretty well, and I’m a huge fan of his. I’m a huge fan of Mahomes. I haven’t gotten to meet him. It’s two people it’s hard to bet against and hard to root against. They’re two great players and great ambassadors for the game, but I’m always going to be rooting for TV and hoping to get to know the Super Bowl. I’ve never been more clueless what’s going to happen in a game. Maybe that means it’ll be a good one.”

Will Zalatoris

What is your Super Bowl prediction?

“I don’t know, have to ask Tony Romo.”

Keegan Bradley

“I’m bummed out the Patriots aren’t playing. I’m happy Brady is playing. I think it’s going to be a great game. I want to lean towards Kansas City winning, but never count against Tom Brady.”

Jordan Spieth

“I don’t know. Anytime anyone counts out Brady, he seems to turn around and win no matter where it is and who with. The easy answer for me is to say the Chiefs by stealing a possession just with that offensive explosion, but you just never know. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Billy Horschel

“I pull for the Patriots, I’ve always sort of pulled for the Patriots. … I would like to see Tom win another Super Bowl. It would be pretty impressive, 10 Super Bowls, seven rings. He’s already the G.O.A.T. as it is, but that’s just unheard of.”
