Roberto Diaz won the second Korn Ferry Tour event in 2021 after managing to stay ahead of Peter Uihlein at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open. Diaz earned his first Tour-sanctioned win by finishing at 18 under at Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club in Broussard, Louisiana. That was one better than Uihlein.
Diaz, who hails from Mexico, put together rounds of 69-65-64-68 for the week. His final round included opening birdies at the first and second hole before an eagle at the par-5 seventh. Diaz cooled off on the back nine with all pars except for a bogey on No. 13.
