SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club began play on Friday, May 28 with 30 teams and six individuals vying for team and medalist honors.
The Raptor Course at Grayhawk is playing as a par 70 this week at 7,289 yards. This is the first of three consecutive years that the golf course will serve as the host site for both the men’s and women’s championships, with Arizona State as the host school.
After three rounds of stroke play May 28-30, the field of 30 teams will be cut to 15 for the final round of stroke play. On Monday, May 31, the individual champion will be decided and a final cut will determine the top eight teams bound for match play. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played Tuesday, June 1, with the national champion decided on Wednesday, June 2.
The Ole Miss Rebels defeated Oklahoma State, 4 and 1, in the women’s final to claim the school’s first national title last week.
