As the ball dropped into the 18th hole at Augusta National Golf Club on the evening of Sunday, April 9, 2017, Sergio Garcia’s dream of winning a Masters title came true. As he screamed in joy and bent his knees, the club in his left hand was a TaylorMade Spider Tour Red putter. In his golf bag nearby were 13 other TaylorMade clubs. The ball that went in the hole was a TaylorMade TP5.

Less than a year later, however, Garcia parted ways with TaylorMade, but the Spaniard who has been a Ryder Cup hero for the European team became an equipment free agent recently.

On Tuesday, TaylorMade announced Garcia has signed an endorsement deal with the company to once again be a member of the brand’s tour staff.

“The opportunity to reunite with Sergio is one we couldn’t let pass by,” said David Abeles, TaylorMade’s CEO. “Over the course of nearly two decades, we’ve built a deep connection and familiarity. He understands the history of our brand, the performance of our products and who we are as a people. We truly welcome his return to Team TaylorMade.”

This week at the PGA Championship, Garcia is expected to play a SIM2 Max driver, SIM Rocket 3-wood and a SIM 5-wood, along with P750 irons (3-PW) and a 2021 TP5x ball (#85).
