Sunday will bring a conclusion to the biggest tournament in women’s golf, the U.S. Women’s Open.
The 76th edition of the national championship is being contested at the Lake Course at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.
Lexi Thompson shot a bogey-free 66 on Saturday to get to 7 under. She will take a one-shot lead over Yuka Saso into the final round. Amateur Megha Ganne is tied for third with Jeongeun Lee6 at 3 under. Shanshan Feng is 5th at 2 under. Nasa Hataoka and Megan Khang are tied for 6th at 1 under. Those seven golfers are the only ones under par through 54 holes.
The Lake Course is playing to a par 71 at 6,457 yards this week. On Sunday for the final round, the golfers will tee off on the 1st and 9th tees and play in threesomes.
