He has won over 100 tournaments worldwide and 15 majors. In 2001, Woods became the first golfer to hold all major championships at a time.
Although his professional life is seamless, Tiger had troubles controlling his personal life.
In 2009, Woods’ marriage began falling apart due to claims of infidelity and soon the news hit the headlines. His daughter Sam was two years old, and his son Charlie was a newborn at the time. Although the golf legend apologized for his behavior, his wife, Elin Nordegren, divorced Woods in 2010.
Although they got a divorce, they had to present the reason for the divorce to their children.

How did Tiger Woods explain his split with Nordegren to his children?
Tiger Woods spoke about his split with Nordegren in an interview with TIME. He explained how they are working out well on co-parenting and how the kids got to know about the split from their father.
“We’ve worked so hard at co-parenting, to make sure that their lives are fantastic. For instance, I’ve told her this, I’ve taken the initiative with the kids, and told them up front, “Guys, the reason why we’re not in the same house, why we don’t live under the same roof, Mommy and Daddy, is because Daddy made some mistakes. I just want them to understand before they get to Internet age and they log on to something or have their friends tell them something. I want it to come from me so that when they come of age, I’ll just tell them the real story,” Woods said.
“I was to blame, and so I’m taking initiative with the kids,” added Woods.
Tiger said he felt he was responsible for explaining the reason for their split to the children. He explained that his children should know from him rather than from the internet or, worse, a friend.
Tiger told his kids it was his mistake that made the couple divorce. However, he hasn’t revealed the “actual” reason for it.
Woods explained to the kids that as humans, we all make mistakes. However, it is the bright side that they should look at. Although they don’t live together, he and Elin love the children alike.
It is hard to live the life of a celebrity. Since they live under the camera radar, they don’t get to escape from any of their mistakes. It will haunt them and their loved ones forever.
